Sorry Nic... I know this is not your best side, but I have to be honest in the fact that no matter how unflattering, uninteresting, or uninspiring this shot is, it is the only picture I took today.
(And you're all the ones who tried to convince me that 12am could still count as Saturday)
I like today because... I got the perfect last two tiles in Carcassonne tonight to steal the win, tomorrow is Friday, I didn't have a headache today, the kids got along really well today playing on their own for much of the afternoon... even if they did make a mess.
I like today because of... a good sleep last night, a lazy day of hanging out with friends, finding great deals and great gifts online, a weather forecast with temperatures above freezing.
Just playing with a little photoshop... Sawyer did have pretty rosy little cheeks out there.
I like today because... it warmed up to the twenties today so we could actually go out and play in the snow, I feel like I hadn't been to church in a long time... and everyone was finally healthy enough to go, watching the kids roughhousing with their daddy.
Little Miss Pouty...This is where SJ goes when she's mad now. If the tv is on and the door is open, she goes and sits behind it with her arms crossed, pouting. Makes me laugh everytime.
I like today because of... family naptime, clearance racks, cheesecake, playing games
Sawyer took a four hour nap, I got a little organizing done, I actually made a good dent in the laundry pile, I managed to whip up not just one, but both meals today that both the kids ate (and asked for seconds) with me, and most of all because my husband came home to me.
I asked Ryan which picture I should use today... He wasn't much help; he said this one, this one, this one, or this one. So here's this one and this one.
Here are the flowers I was surprised with on the 14th.
And the kids as veggies. SJ was watching tv curled up with her loveys on her new chair. The next time I came into the room, Sawyer had done the same. Gee, do you think someone wants to be just like his big sister??
I took the camera outside today because I thought it was cool to see evidence of all the animals that make themselves at home in our yard; it's kinda cool that if it weren't for the snow, we would never know they were there...
Can you believe these used to be blue eyes? They've slowly changed over the last three years. Now they seem to be green around the outside edge and brown around the pupil. Wonder if they'll be truly brown one day...
how much SJ loves her preschool, the look on someone's face when recieving an unexpected treat, getting things done ahead of time for a change, good hair days
12 heart-shaped silicone baking cups + 1 collection of used and broken crayon pieces + a 250 degree oven = 2007's Valentine surprises for SJ's class A hit!!
I know the focus is off in this shot, but it's the best one I got playing this game in the dim light of our living room late tonight.
*For any of you who know this game, we had a couple of fun rounds tonight... Ryan got a new expansion box and we got some high scoring knights and farmers! (One of Ryan's single cities was 36 points and one of my farmers supplied to 9 large cities.)*
I came home from grocery shopping and found this sticker attached to my son...
WARNING This area may be contaminated. (they found it in a BMW ad in a magazine and Savannah (not having a clue what it said) apparently thought it was appropriate affixed to her brother's backside...)
our home, our family, our blessings, creativity, the white blanket of snow outside, Sudafed's Shower Soothers (they are very soothing), pajama days, looking forward to some funny tv tonight
SJ was so excited today- it was pajama day at school. She *loves* it if ever I let her stay in her pajamas all day, so she was in heaven getting to actually go out and wear them to school! What a great first day back!!
